Latest Express Entry Draw – May 27, 2020

May 28, 2020BY Admin

The latest Express Entry draw dated May 27, 2020, at 11:37:30 UTC is announced, issuing ITAs (Invitation to Apply) to 385 candidates.

The most recent CRS (comprehensive ranking system) score cut-off threshold is 757 this time.

This draw is for Provincial Nominee Class.

Also, keep in mind that the tie-breaking rule was applied to this draw, meaning that not all the candidates who had the lowest CRS score will get invitations to apply. The candidate will be picked based on when they submitted their Express Entry profile.

About Express Entry:

If you are not aware of Express Entry and how it works, it is a system designed by the Canadian government to invite skilled workers from all over the world to apply for immigration.

It is a points-based system that assigns points to the profiles of applicants based on a lot of factors that include age, language proficiency, work experience, adaptability, and a valid job offer from any Canadian institute, etc.

There are a total of 1,200 points.

The higher your points on your profile, the more the chances to get invited to Canada.

This is one of the most popular programs in the world for immigration.

It is using this way that a lot of people immigrate to Canada.

But that is not the only program used for immigration, there are a lot of ways to immigrate to Canada.

About Invitation to Apply (ITA):

An Invitation to Apply (ITA) is sent to those in the Express Entry pool who are selected by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

If you are in an Express Entry pool and have a score more than the cut-off score, you will receive an Invitation to Apply or ITA.

However, if your score is equal to the cut-off score, the selection is based on the date the profile was submitted to the Express Entry system. Meaning, the older your submission date, the earlier you get the invitation.

Will the CRS score go below?

Answering whether or not the CRS score might go below the current cut-off score of 757 is very hard to predict.

It is because the system takes into consideration a lot of factors that include age, work experience, education, language proficiency, job invitations, adaptability, etc.

And it is clear that as long as the system is up and running, people from different backgrounds and experiences will apply, making it tough for anyone to predict the next cut-off score.

However, we can get the idea of the overall environment and where the numbers are headed based on this data:

  • There were 144,046 candidates in the Express Entry pool as of May 27, 2020.
  • There were 300+ candidates with a score that ranged between 600 and 700 as of May 27, 2020.

If we look at this data, it can be seen that the numbers are going down.

That is because the COVID-19 has taken the world by storm, affecting hundreds of industries worldwide.

In order for the CRS score to go down further, the candidates in the pool need to score lesser points.

Even though this may seem unlikely, we can’t be sure whether or not this might happen.

When will the next Express Entry draw occur?

Even though there is no schedule for when the Express Entry draws take place, we’ve seen that the draw usually occurs after every 14 to 15 days of the last draw, based on the previous draws conducted to date.

Therefore, the next Express Entry draw is expected to occur on the 10th or 11th of June, 2020.

However, these dates may change, and the draw might occur on any other pattern as well – it is up to the Canadian government to decide when the draw is taking place.

Are there any alternatives to the Express Entry program to immigrate to Canada?

If you are finding it tough to score higher in the Express Entry pool against other candidates, you may want to know about the different routes you can use to immigrate to Canada.

If that is the case, there are many ways you can immigrate to Canada.

Some of these include the PNP Program, Quebec’s Investor Program, Student Direct Stream Program, Parental Sponsorship Program, and Spousal Sponsorship Program.

When will the Express Entry program end?

Canada has been the perfect spot for immigrants for decades now.

Much of the population of Canada is comprised of immigrants, and this number keeps on increasing.

In 2019 alone, there were over 310,000 immigrants living in Canada.

This is alarming to some people who wish to immigrate to Canada but do not qualify at the moment.

What if the Canadian immigration programs are shut down?

To be honest, no one knows when or if the Express Entry program will end.

It is because Canada is a country that depends on immigrants.

It is how its economy is improved over time, and the country is operational.

However, it also makes sense that a country can’t welcome people forever.

But no one knows about that, to be honest.

What we know, though, is that Canada is looking to welcome over one million new immigrants between 2020-2022.
